**To use your oxygen therapy in a safe and hygienic manner, regular cleaning and/or replacement of oxygen supplies is imperative.**

Oxygen & Aerosol Supplies

If your doctor has prescribed home oxygen therapy to you, a home concentrator is an essential piece of equipment. Once plugged in, the concentrator will take in room air, remove the oxygen, and give it straight to you via the connected tubing. It can run 24/7, does not run out, and is easy to operate with a short orientation from one of our registered respiratory therapists or technicians. Concentrators are available for both rental and purchase. Please contact us, and one of our therapists can assess you and your oxygen needs. If you have questions regarding funding and payment, our financing department is ready and willing to assist you.

Other Respiratory Therapies Available

There are three portable options available for when you are on the go:

  1. Cylinder delivery system:  Oxygen cylinders can be delivered to your doorstep on a weekly basis, and as needed.

  2. Filling station: This is a system that can be set up in your home, and allows you to fill your own cylinders as needed. The operation is simple with a basic orientation.

  3. Portable Oxygen Concentrator: This is a smaller version of your home concentrator, and is battery powered. It comes equipped with an outlet charger, as well as a car charger.

** Both delivered cylinders and refillable cylinders will come with a regulator or OCD (oxygen conserving device). This will attach to the top of the cylinder, and allows you to set the level of oxygen you will be getting from your cylinder.A registered respiratory therapist will orientate you to the safe and proper usage of this equipment, as well as determine the appropriate oxygen settings to best meet your needs.**

Portable Oxygen/

Travelling can be daunting; with oxygen equipment, it may seem impossible. With some planning, you can travel the world. It is important to check with your doctors to make sure you are well enough to take that trip. You must also be able to secure travel insurance. Most airlines will accept portable oxygen but you will need to verify their rules and regulations. The most widely recognized and accepted method of traveling with oxygen is a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC).  POC’s are great whether the trip is by plane, train, boat or car. Please contact us, one of our registered therapists will be able to assess you and help determine the appropriate POC for your trip. Our finance department can help you determine whether renting or purchasing a POC is your best option.

**Please contact your airline prior to travel to confirm what steps need to be taken prior to your flight. This will help to prevent any issues arising at boarding time.**
